The chief working officer of Embracer Group, Egil Strunke, has left the corporate.
In a post on LinkedIn, the exec introduced that he was leaving to begin his personal firm. The imaginatively-named Strunke Video games is about to assist and “be concerned” in recreation initiatives and studios.
Strunke has labored at Embracer for a complete of seven years throughout two stints; he was employed by the corporate between 2011 and 2014 again when it was Nordic Video games, earlier than rejoining in 2019 as chief working officer.
Again in June, Embracer introduced that it had appointed Matthew Karch, the top of Saber Interactive, as an interim COO, although didn’t explicitly announce Strunke’s departure.
“Final week I left Embracer Group as COO, and it’s with combined emotions I’m parting methods this international firm phenomenon, rooted in Karlstad, Sweden,” he wrote.
“On one hand grateful for having had the possibility to work with the one-of-a-kind Lars Wingefors and all the opposite wonderful colleagues (too many to say!) which I will probably be unhappy to depart.”
