Our Verdict
The Infinix GT 20 is a cell gaming powerhouse, with an impressively long-lasting battery and lovely AMOLED show, which make for seamless 144hz visuals and a easy gaming expertise each time. However, because it’s the official cell of the PUBG MOBILE Tremendous League, it’s positively geared extra towards being a handheld gaming than day-to-day smartphone use.
- Attractive gaming efficiency
- Lengthy battery life
- Not as costly as you’d have thought
- Gradual charging
- Cumbersome {hardware} extras
- No 3.5mm jack port

It’s, indisputably, an improve from the unique GT 10, taking all the things that made the unique system nice and making it that significantly better.
The marketplace for gaming telephones has come a good distance, and it’s an ever-growing business that repeatedly tries to outdo itself. That is exactly what the Infinix GT 20 Professional cell phone has carried out so far as a handheld gaming system, however does it operate as an intuitive cellular phone as a lot because it does for gaming? Specs
Options and software program
The Infinix GT 20 Professional has a wealth of options geared towards its use in esports. The system is the official handset for the PUBG MOBILE Tremendous League, and so it does, in fact, cater to the skilled gamer. This implies it’s able to delivering an nearly flawless efficiency for every type of cell gaming.
Hong Kong-based Infinix can also be promising two chunky OS upgrades sooner or later for the GT 20 Professional, so spectacular {hardware} apart, it’s good to know that the model is eager to take care of the software program facet of issues, too. It’s splash and dust-resistant, that means even the sweatiest of avid gamers (metaphorically and actually) gained’t have to fret about damaging the system even within the peak of battle, and the show is undeniably lovely.
However, as the Infinix GT 20 Pro is almost solely focused on the gaming side of things, this limits the day-to-day smartphone features that you’ve come to expect. Unlike its predecessor, the GT 10, the GT 20 Pro doesn’t come with a 3.5mm jack port for the likes of wired headphones, which means you won’t be able to listen to music or take calls on wired headphones if you’re charging the phone or using its bespoke detachable cooling fan.
Design
The Infinix GT 20 Pro’s 6.78-inch screen is pretty massive and makes for some easy horizontal gaming thanks to its size. However, this sizeable build means it looms quite large when slipped into a pocket or held vertically like you would with any phone. So unless you have a superglue-like grip, you’ll likely need to hold the device with both hands if you want to text at your usual speed, scroll social media, or play vertically-optimized games such as the likes of Subway Surfers or Warcraft Rumble.
The GT 20 Pro also comes with a Mag-attached external cooling fan, which is great for keeping your handset cool when playing graphics-heavy games like PUBG MOBILE. You’ll also get a pair of externally attached shoulder buttons, which take FPS mobile gaming to a whole other level. While these external hardware extras are great in theory, they can be pretty cumbersome, and when handheld comfort is most important, it can be frustrating when they get in your way.
I actually found myself preferring to play the likes of PUBG MOBILE without the external fan and shoulder buttons, purely because it meant I could hold the GT 20 Pro in the way I needed to be most comfortable. The cooling fan also needs to be inserted into the USB-C charging port, which means you’re battling with a thick cable in the way of your fingers, and you can’t use wired headphones while gaming with it, either. As well as this, the shoulder buttons clip onto the sides, meaning the attachments cover a portion of the screen, and although they don’t cover too much, they aren’t ideal when you need the clarity to snipe a player from across the map.
Display
With a gorgeous AMOLED FHD+ 6.78” screen, a vivid 1,300nit max brightness level, and a 144Hz refresh rate, the visuals are absolutely seamless. It’s no wonder that the Infinix GT 20 Pro is geared toward the, well, professionals. It’s packed to the rafters with gaming features like ultra framerate, tilt control, and intuitive magic buttons, and it comes with its own phone case as well as a tempered screen protector.
The focus and care that Infinix put into the display and visuals of the GT 20 Pro is evident right from the off, with a user-friendly adaptive mentality to suit every type of mobile gamer. The refresh rate is totally customizable and can be tweaked between 60Hz, 120Hz, and the 144 Hz maximum. The AMOLED resolution is simply stunning and offers incredibly clean, crisp visuals as soon as you turn the device on.
Cameras
Now, let’s get one thing straight. The GT 20 Pro is, first and foremost, a mobile phone designed for gaming. So, the camera isn’t going to be the absolute best on the market, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing, nor is it something to be disappointed by.
With a 108Mp-OIS back camera, plus 2MP macro and 2MP depth lenses, and a 32 MP front camera, it’s a pretty generous set-up, but the numbers are a little more impressive than the results. Take the image above, which while still incredibly cute, lacks a little definition.
You can record video at 4K and 60fps from the back and 2K and 30fps on the front, and the quality is absolutely fine for what the GT 20 Pro is. It’s no Samsung Galaxy S24, sure, but it never claimed to be.
Performance
Now, performance is really where the Infinix GT 20 Pro shines, which comes as no surprise at all. With a dedicated esports mode feature, intended to create a zero-disruption gaming experience, the performance of this official PUBG Mobile Super League device is absolutely ideal for professional and casual gamers.
The Infinix GT 20 Pro utilizes a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset along with a Pixelworks X5 Turbo dedicated gaming display chip, an impressive Octa-core CPU, as well as a staggering 256GB’s worth of storage with 12GB of RAM. It’s fast, it’s seamless, and every type of game runs absolutely beautifully.
Don’t be afraid to whack the settings right up to ultra, whether you’re playing Pokemon Go or PUBG MOBILE, because the Infinix GT 20 Pro can handle it with no complaints. You also don’t have to worry too much about heat dissipation with this device, as it comes with the aforementioned attachable cooling system. But even without it, this powerful handset doesn’t get any hotter than expected, and it continues to run at the same level of performance regardless of how much time you’ve put into a gaming session.
Battery
The 5,000mAh battery life of the Infinix GT 20 Pro is pretty damn stellar, and although the 45W charging isn’t the fastest around, it still does the job. Unfortunately, different voltage inputs can affect the maximum output power in certain regions, so charging speeds can differ. It took several hours to reach full battery charge in our tests, though this may well be due to those regional differences, and the GT 20 Pro doesn’t support fast charging capabilities. In our testing, we found that it takes about 90 minutes to reach a full charge from zero percent, but this is through an adaptor plug in the U.K.
The battery, however, lasts for a good amount of time and we found that the GT 20 Pro could realistically have enough battery life to see you through the day-to-day, although it does drain a lot of juice when playing high-intensity games. But, that’s to be expected, especially with the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile or PUBG MOBILE. After an hour of playing PUBG MOBILE, the Infinix GT 20 Pro only lost about 15% of the battery, and considering all graphics were set to ultra high, this proves that it’s built for intense gaming.
Should you buy the Infinix GT 20 Pro?
If you’re a consummate gamer on a budget, then the Infinix GT 20 Pro is a superb choice of mobile phone for you. As long as you’re focused on having the very best gaming experience, and not particularly fussed on the likes of jack ports and crazy-clear cameras, then Infinix has smashed it out of the park.
The Hong Kong-based tech company has definitely prioritized gaming over, well, everything else when it comes to their second-generation mobile phone, so if you’re in the market for a handheld gaming device that puts performance above all else rather than a versatile cell phone and don’t want to break the bank, the GT 20 Pro is a great choice.

Poco X6 Pro
If you’re looking for a phone that can manage both gaming and regular day-to-day use, the Poco X6 Pro is a fantastic alternative. Samsung A14 5G
This one isn’t as good for gaming, but if you just need a cheap phone that can do all the necessities, it’s a great shout.
